With the blessing of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the Holy Light from the Tomb of the Lord will be brought to the Republic of Moldova by the Vicar Bishop, His Grace Filaret of Căpriana, who is currently traveling to Israel.
Traditionally, during Holy Week, in anticipation of the Feast of the Resurrection of the Lord, on Wednesday, April 8, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, blessed the Paschal offerings at the “Franzeluța” Bakery Plant in Chișinău.
By the mercy of God, this year as well, despite the existing difficulties in the Near East, the Metropolis of Moldova has succeeded in making all the necessary preparations for bringing the Holy Light from Jerusalem.

On the Fifth Sunday of Great Lent, dedicated to Saint Mary of Egypt, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, celebrated the Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great at the Metropolitan Cathedral “Nativity of the Lord” in Chișinău.
On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the “Saint Demetrius” Cathedral in Orhei, the general assembly of the clergy of the Orhei Vicariate was held, a gathering dedicated to the analysis and strengthening of pastoral activity.
With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, on the evening of the Third Sunday of Great Lent — the Sunday of the Holy Cross — His Grace Bishop Filaret officiated the Akathist of the Holy Passion at the Metropolitan Cathedral “The Nativity of the Lord” in Chișinău.

On the Second Sunday of Great Lent, dedicated to Saint Gregory Palamas, with the blessing of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, His Grace Siluan, Bishop of Orhei and Metropolitan Vicar, celebrated the Holy and Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Cathedral “The Nativity of the Lord” in Chișinău. Concelebrating with His Grace was the assembly of clergy serving the Cathedral.
