During the Little Entrance, in recognition of his outstanding and fruitful pastoral, missionary, and social activity, the parish rector, priest Nicolae Jelihovschi, was awarded the Second Degree Order of Stephen the Great and Holy.
Among the concelebrating clergy were Father Grigore Jelihovschi, honorary rector of the parish, together with other clergy serving at the holy altar.
Participating in the Divine Service were Mrs. Liliana Bacal, Mayor of the locality; Mrs. Liuba Pleșca, Director of the “Meșterul Manole” Theoretical Lyceum in Sălcuța; members of the teaching staff, students, and numerous parishioners from the village.
On this blessed day, the parish rector, priest Nicolae Jelihovschi, marks two meaningful anniversaries: 30 years of educational activity and 50 years of life — years devoted with great dedication to the service of God, the Church, the community, and the school where he serves as a teacher.
Throughout the years, Father Nicolae has wisely combined his ministry at the altar with the work of education, taking special care in the spiritual formation of many generations. Through his pastoral and educational activity, he has become known as a devoted servant of the Church and a teacher deeply connected to the hearts of children and young people.
On this anniversary occasion, we pray to the Good Lord to grant him health, peace, inner tranquility, strength, and assistance in all the works and obediences he fulfills for the benefit of the Church and of the people.
Following the service, His Grace Siluan conveyed to the faithful the message of blessing and appreciation of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir. The hierarch also congratulated Father Nicolae Jelihovschi on the occasion of his anniversary, expressing appreciation for his sacrificial ministry, his fruitful work within both the Church and the educational system, and for his contribution to the education and spiritual formation of many generations.
In conclusion, His Grace Siluan wished the parish rector God’s help in all his responsibilities, many blessed years, inner peace, and strength to continue with the same dedication the work he has begun for the benefit of the Church and the community.
