With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, on the Feast of the Holy Three Hierarchs, His Grace Bishop Filaret of Căpriana, Vicar Bishop, celebrated the Holy and Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the patronal feast of the Orthodox Theological Academy and the Orthodox Theological Seminary “St. Hierarch Gavriil” in Chișinău.

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the House of Culture in the village of Sipoteni, Călărași District, the Annual General Assembly of the priests of the Diocese of Ungheni and Nisporeni was held, chaired by His Eminence PETRU, Archbishop of Ungheni and Nisporeni.

On the Sunday after the Baptism of the Lord and the feast of the Holy Martyr Tatiana, His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chișinău and of All Moldova, celebrated the Holy and Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Cathedral “The Nativity of the Lord” in Chișinău.

The memory of the righteous is praised with hymns, and for you the testimony of the Lord is sufficient, O Forerunner. For you were truly shown to be more honorable than the prophets, since you were deemed worthy to baptize in the waters Him whom you had proclaimed. Therefore, having suffered for the truth, with joy you proclaimed God even to those in Hades—Him who was manifested in the flesh, who took away the sin of the world and granted us great mercy.(Troparion of Saint John the Baptist)

When You were baptized in the Jordan, O Lord, the worship of the Holy Trinity was revealed; for the voice of the Father bore witness to You, calling You His beloved Son, and the Spirit, in the form of a dove, confirmed the truth of His word. On Sunday, January 18, 2026, on the Eve of the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated the Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Cathedral “Nativity of the Lord” in the municipality of Chișinău, joined in prayer by Archpriest Vadim Cheibaș, Secretary of the Metropolis and Ecclesiarch of the Cathedral, together with the clergy and the faithful of the holy church.

Like the Magi who once brought gifts to the Infant Jesus, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the clergy and volunteers of the Orthodox Church of Moldova offered gifts to hundreds of socially vulnerable children and families throughout the country, within the framework of the philanthropic campaign “At Christmas, You Become Better!”, 7th edition. The campaign is organized and coordinated this year as well by the Synodal Department for Social Activity and Charity, with the aim of bringing hope, comfort, and joy into the hearts of its beneficiaries. In this context, social and philanthropic activities were carried out in several parishes across the country, on the occasion of the Feast of the Nativity of the Lord and that of Saint Basil the Great.
