Today, His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chișinău and All Moldova, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Alexandru Munteanu.
During the discussions, the parties addressed the role of the Church in building a supportive and united society, where people are bound together by empathy and care for one another.
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu emphasized the importance of cooperation between state institutions and the Church in promoting kindness and moral values: “The role of the Church is important in spreading goodness and in educating children and adults in the spirit of forgiveness and compassion,” stated the Head of the Executive.
In turn, Metropolitan Vladimir expressed the Church’s willingness to continue its social and pastoral mission: “The Church always remains close to people, especially to those who are suffering. We wish, together, to cultivate peace, understanding, and care for our neighbor, so that our society may develop in harmony and solidarity.”
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova expressed his hope that dialogue and good cooperation between the Church and the authorities may be guided by the light of the Gospel, in order to bring greater peace and hope into people’s hearts.
During the meeting, the Primate was accompanied by the Secretary of the Metropolis, Archpriest Vadim Cheibaș.
