His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir Read the Final Part of the Canon of St. Andrew of Crete at the Metropolitan Cathedral

On Thursday, 26 February, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the service of the Canon of St. Andrew of Crete at the Metropolitan Cathedral, reading its final part, surrounded by a multitude of faithful gathered in prayer.

The final part of the Canon of St. Andrew of Crete is an earnest call to humility and repentance, urging the souls of the faithful toward a deeper closeness to God through prayer.

The faithful experienced this moment of prayer with reverence, allowing themselves to be touched by the Canon’s words of repentance and hope. This special service, specific to the first week of Great Lent, continues the spiritual tradition of preparing the soul for Holy Pascha.

Tomorrow, 27 February, at the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Holy Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts will be celebrated according to the following schedule: 7:00 a.m. – Matins, the Hours, and the Typica; 9:00 a.m. – the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts, officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir.
