Traditionally, during Holy Week, in anticipation of the Feast of the Resurrection of the Lord, on Wednesday, April 8, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, blessed the Paschal offerings at the “Franzeluța” Bakery Plant in Chișinău.
At the blessing service, together with His Eminence, prayers were offered by Archpriest Vadim Cheibaș, Secretary of the Metropolis of Moldova, along with a group of serving clergy.
The event took place in the presence of the company’s leadership and numerous employees.
Following the service, in his address, Metropolitan Vladimir reminded those present of how, in the past, housewives would prepare the traditional Easter bread for the feast, and on the day of the Resurrection would come to church with pascha. Continuing this longstanding tradition, “today we have offered common prayer and the blessing of the traditional products for the Paschal table, and we pray that the Good God may multiply in our hearts faith, love, and peace. May God bless you with His heavenly blessings on the great Feast of the Resurrection.”
At the same time, the Metropolitan wished all employees that they may continue to delight our fellow citizens with products of the highest quality and, at Pascha, to bring to the tables of the faithful the traditional pascha and cozonac, ever-present on this holy feast.
