With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, on the First Sunday after the Nativity of the Lord, His Grace Filaret of Căpriana, Vicar Bishop, celebrated the Divine and Holy Liturgy at the Dormition of the Mother of God Monastery in Țigănești.
Together with the hierarch, prayers were offered Archimandrite Irinarh (Costru), abbot of the monastic community, the assembly of priests and deacons, the monastic brotherhood, and numerous faithful.
The Holy Gospel according to Matthew (2:13–23) recalled the Flight into Egypt of the Christ Child, the slaughter of the 14,000 infants in Bethlehem, as well as the commemoration of the Righteous Joseph the Betrothed, King David, and James, the Brother of the Lord, bearing witness to the true Incarnation of the Son of God.
On the same day, the Holy Monastery also hosted the 14th edition of the Festival of Winter Traditions and Customs, “We Go Caroling, Caroling in Winter.” His Grace Bishop Filaret was present at the event and conveyed the Christmas greeting message of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir to all the faithful on the occasion of the radiant Feast of the Nativity of the Lord.
The event, dedicated to the celebration of the Nativity, brought together folk ensembles and church choirs from the Strășeni District and other districts of the country, who proclaimed through carols the joy of the coming into the world of our Savior Jesus Christ, contributing to the preservation of ancestral traditions and the strengthening of Christian communion.
