“CHRIST IS RISEN! TRULY HE IS RISEN!” — this Paschal greeting resounded throughout the radiant night at the Metropolitan Cathedral “Nativity of the Lord” in Chișinău during the festal divine service celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova. Concelebrating with him were Archpriest Mitred Vadim Cheibaș, Metropolitan Secretary, together with the clergy of the Cathedral.
The liturgical responses during the Paschal night were offered by the cathedral’s mixed choir, conducted by Mrs. Angela Angheni.
The Chișinău City Hall and the television channel Moldova 1 also broadcast live, as in previous years, the Paschal service celebrated at the Metropolitan Cathedral in the center of the capital.
On the occasion of the Feast of Feasts, priest Vadim Cheibaș read the Paschal Pastoral Message of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir.
In the joy of the Resurrection of Christ the Savior, the faithful gathered for the Divine Liturgy, glorifying and giving thanks to God for the great gift of victory over death, offering praise to the Lord and placing their hope in His light and blessing poured out upon the whole world.
