With the blessing of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the Holy Light from the Tomb of the Lord will be brought to the Republic of Moldova by the Vicar Bishop, His Grace Filaret of Căpriana, who is currently traveling to Israel.
For the 24th consecutive year, the Holy Light from the Tomb of the Lord will be brought on Holy Saturday, April 11, 2026, around 8:00 PM, to the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral “Nativity of the Lord” in the capital, from where His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir will distribute the Holy Light to the hierarchs of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, the clergy, and all the faithful.
Let us pray to our Savior Jesus Christ to grant the successful fulfillment of the procession of bringing the Holy Light this year as well.
We call upon our clergy and faithful throughout the country to gather together and share in the joy of welcoming the Holy Light.
