On Wednesday, 25 February, His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chișinău and All Moldova, celebrated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts united with Vespers at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Chișinău.
The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts is a remedy for a humanity burdened by restlessness, agitation, distraction, dissipation, and excessive speech.
Concelebrating with the Primate were Protopresbyter Mitred Vadim Cheibaș, Secretary of the Metropolis and Ecclesiarch of the Cathedral, as well as the clergy of the holy church.
The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts is the third Liturgy of the Orthodox Church and may be celebrated from Monday to Friday during Great Lent, with the exception of the aliturgical days—Monday and Tuesday of the first week of Lent and Friday of Holy Week—when none of the three Liturgies of the Orthodox Christian worship are served.
Today, beginning at 05:00 p.m., His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir will read the third part of the Canon of St. Andrew of Crete.
