On the second day of Great Lent, Tuesday, 24 February, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the second part of the Great Canon of Repentance of St. Andrew of Crete at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Nativity of the Lord in Chișinău.
Among the figures evoked by St. Andrew of Crete, we see that not all those who sinned remained in a state of sinfulness. Many became aware of their fall and repented, and for this reason God freed them from their burden.
Tomorrow, 25 February, at the Metropolitan Cathedral, the first Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts of this Fast will be celebrated according to the following schedule: 6:30 a.m. – Matins, the Hours, and the Typica; 8:30 a.m. – the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts, officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir.
