On Cheesefare Sunday (the Sunday of the Expulsion of Adam from Paradise), which precedes Great Lent, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Cathedral “Nativity of the Lord” in the capital.
Concelebrating with the Primate were the Metropolitan Secretary and Ecclesiarch of the Cathedral, Archpriest Mitred Vadim Cheibaș, together with the assembly of clergy.
During the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence ordained Deacon Vitalie Nedelcu to the rank of priest for the Parish of “Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel” in the Airport district of the capital, and Subdeacon Nicolae Preutesei to the rank of deacon for the Metropolitan Cathedral.
This evening, beginning at 5:00 p.m., His Eminence Vladimir will officiate the Vespers service with the Rite of Forgiveness at the Metropolitan Cathedral.
We invite the clergy and the faithful people to participate in this significant service, in order to receive the archpastoral blessing and to begin the Holy and Great Fast in the spirit of forgiveness and love.
