On Thursday, 15 January, on the feast day of the Venerable Saint Seraphim of Sarov, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, made an archpastoral visit to the Church of the Venerable Saint Seraphim of Sarov, located on Ceucari Street, in the Poșta Veche neighborhood, Rîșcani District of the capital.

At the invitation of the parish priest, Archpriest Veaceslav Burlescu, His Eminence officiated the blessing of the funerary monuments erected on the graves of the ever-memorable Father Andrei and Presbytera Elena Burlescu. This was followed by a memorial service, marking three years since their repose, during which prayers were offered for the repose of their souls in the Kingdom of God.

Subsequently, within the holy church, the rite of blessing was performed for a set of eight new bells, with a total weight of 330 kilograms, acquired for this parish. From now on, their sound will call the faithful to prayer, proclaim the feasts, and bear witness through time to the living work of the Church within the community.

After the blessing service, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir bestowed upon Father Veaceslav Burlescu the clerical distinction of the right to wear the jeweled cross, in recognition of his dedicated labor within this parish. At the same time, at the report of the parish priest, several founders and benefactors of the church were awarded metropolitan orders and diplomas as a sign of gratitude for their support of the holy church.

As a token of gratitude for the paternal care shown by His Eminence toward this parish, Father Veaceslav presented the Metropolitan, on behalf of the parish community, with a desk bell mounted on a stand.

In his concluding address, His Eminence congratulated Father Veaceslav, together with his family and all the parishioners, on the beautiful accomplishments achieved thus far. The Archpastor emphasized that all these works are carried out not for human glory, but for eternity—for future generations and, above all, for the glory of God, Who rewards faith, labor, and love for His Church.
